And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The second one down on the left is the same as the glove that my father gave to me to play softball with the Boy Scouts when I was in 4th grade. I was so embarrassed to be seen with it, but I soldiered on. A year or two later, he got me a far more "modern" ball glove and I was so happy.
That right there is why .400 hitters were once relatively common.
