  1. When someone tells me I need to download an app, I show them my flip phone that is not even turned on. I have it if I need it and I don't need to be constantly looking at a phone or having someone calling for some idiotic reason. No texts, no voicemail.

    1. Went five years without a cell phone until last month, mostly to see if I could do it. No one needs to have access to me 24/7, plus I saved at least 30 bucks a month. More and more, though, so much happens on a cell, and everyone assumes you have one, that it is harder to function. The local airport requires you to pay for parking via your phone. To get into the gym, you flash a QR code on your phone. It's never ending and like AI, not going away.

  2. I'm getting sick and tired of all those devices, sites, etc. requiring a cell phone.

    1. Bad enough, but every company you do business with seems to thinks that access to (and your attention to) text messages is their God given right.

      I don't text

  5. It is very convenient, you know. At one of my sons house, instead of getting your hand in your pocket and open the door, you have to get your hand into your pocket, get the phone, open (password), look for the APP, open it, the open the door, wait a couple of seconds (more like 20...) under the rain (Florida, you know) for the unlock to work, get the ok from the APP, and open the door. Modern times are VERY (IN) convenient, you know.
