The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
exactly. I've participated in several efforts like the above here in Indiana. Its only strange to people from cities and suburbs where there is no sense of community. For the rest of us, it is normal.
This is a great story. I grew up in a rural/farm community and we all knew each other and helped out whenever we could. I mourn the loss of 'community' these days, either by design or accident. Steve_in_Ottawa
A local farmer and his wife both suffered cancer at the same time. Many farmers had no chance to offer help since a whole bunch of others came together to do his harvest. Helping happens all the time around here. Even is someone is not well liked the rest of the farmers come out to help.
Very true…Sheridan showcases this aspect in The Madison. Question is, how many in modern society ‘don’t get it’?
