And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Get it with the threaded barrel, add a suppressor (a lot easier to get nowadays) and you almost can't hear it fire, even using regular .22 ammo. Loads of plinking fun.
Had the Ruger Mark I back in the 80s. Constant feed issues even after having the ramp polished out a bit, traded it in for a (then) new 1988 S&W 622 which still digests anything I put in the magazine to this day.
It was almost certainly a magazine issue. I've never had any other issues with any of the 5 or 6 Marks I've had since my 1st one in the late 70's. Still have a 22/45 bull barrel m3. Yeah, it takes a little longer to reassemble, but that's because I'm so old, it's like figuring out a new puzzle...again.
I’ve had 3 and two were awesome. The older Marks and I don’t recall which. Really loving my Sig P322 and it comes with two 16 round mags iirc. Removed a cottonmouth from the gene pool yesterday with it.
Agree with title. If you don't have one you should seriously consider. Accurate and very easy to shoot well. Easier on the wallet to keep fed as well.
ReplyDeleteMine was in cocobolo. Still less fun than my .22 marlin lever
ReplyDelete39a What a fun gun!
Delete39M is the funnest
DeleteBe nice if you could double stack them mags.
ReplyDeleteI like mine but it is an absolute pain in the arse to put back together
ReplyDeleteNot that hard, you just gotta do it right and in the right order. I do mine at least monthly to clean it.

ReplyDeleteHa! I did just that last month. Lots of fun!
DeleteAnd the new Ruger's barrel tilts up on a pivot to make cleaning really simple. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI owned a Mk II which was such a trial to field strip that I replaced it with a High Standard.

Don't care for the fluted barrel. Similar to my dads' Walther P38 style that the neighbor kids stole. We couldn't prove it but they took all his guns.
ReplyDeleteAlways one in my range bag.

ReplyDeleteGotta love people who had one (maybe) bad example and then diss everything else made for 40+ years after that .

DeleteB 8:33 sounds like a homo
DeleteHad one, liked it. Lent it to a friend and it burned up on a snowmobile. Now have Browning Buckmarks, like them even better.

ReplyDeleteNever have had an issue excepting an after market mag.
