And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I got to fly in that P-51 back in the 90s with the legendary Bill Anders. Absolutely amazing (both the plane, and the man). My guess is that his son Greg, who I have also flown with, is piloting it in this pic.

The B-29 flew over Owens Field towards the end of the dedication for the divers that raised the B25-C
