And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I don't know about the rest of you, but when I was younger, I didn't get cold. Sweatshirt and hat, out of the wind, I was good to go. Not anymore. I too prefer the coziness of a Red Roof Inn.
Used to go winter camping like that as a kid - repurposed WWII shelter half and military surplus. No Gore-Tex, no micro-fill, no fleece - just wool, canvas, and leather.
