And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The clip is from "Lessons in Darkness" a Warner Herzog documentary. Kinda thought it was crazy they did that after all they did to stop the well burning, but makes sense when you watch the whole thing. Great documentarian. Also love his voice work; best creepy voice since Vincent Price, watch "Metalocalypse" sometimes. Still can't believe all the s*** he put Klaus Kinski thru to get those shots. "Aguire: Wrath of God" is nuts!
