    1. I lived on Kyushu from 1978 to 1980 and loved it. In 1986. I went back with my wife, spending a week in Tokyo then another week in Kyushu. I much prefer the pace of the southwest compared to Tokyo. Just about everyone is unfailingly polite and considerate. Given all that, its a bit surprising how racist many of them are towards other Asians, especially Koreans. The 70s were prior to their real-estate driven economic woes, so i don't know what it's really like now.

  3. Whoever took this photo must have taken it in the really morning or evening, before or after the tourist horde crush.

  4. I have been to that one on an island. Lots of deer, lots of tourist. My wife and I had large fried oysters for lunch. I almost died from food poisoning but the wife was ok. I will never eat another oyster again.
