And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A friend has a pair of legal tusks from an elephant his grandfather shot 50 years ago and has come to the conclusion that they are just decorations. They aren't legal to sell. He has to keep the paperwork in order at all time and has been challenged a few times and the next generation in his family doesn't even remember his grandfather and has no emotional connection to his trophies.
