  1. For at least two decades, I had a dive buddy named Bill Johnston (with an extra "t"). He recently passed away. That sign makes me remember him and all of the great dive vacations that we had.

    1. A TRUE steakhouse!
      They had fantastic steaks and even better breakfasts!
      Nothing like a chicken-fried steak the size of a serving platter and a side of fresh-made buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy on a Sunday morning while nursing a hangover from the previous Saturday night...ask me how I know.
      I truly miss those restaurants.

  3. OMG, I want to go there! But, Google Maps is telling me that it's permanently closed. :-( Was located in Phoenix AZ.

  4. Yes, there were two and they both closed down. Born and raised in Phx and they were institutions. Good food and a great western experience, waitresses wore pistols and sawdust on the floors.
