And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
For at least two decades, I had a dive buddy named Bill Johnston (with an extra "t"). He recently passed away. That sign makes me remember him and all of the great dive vacations that we had.

Nothing like a chicken-fried steak the size of a serving platter and a side of fresh-made buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy on a Sunday morning while nursing a hangover from the previous Saturday night...ask me how I know. I truly miss those restaurants.
Yes, there were two and they both closed down. Born and raised in Phx and they were institutions. Good food and a great western experience, waitresses wore pistols and sawdust on the floors.
