  1. I have an Iridium sat phone and the unlimited data plan is about twice what my cable internet is. Starlink is also about twice the expense of my home internet. T-mobile has partnered with Starlink and I am waiting on reviews.

  2. While roaming or on a cruise why would I want to connect with anything? It's a disease. It's a trap. Easy cure is call me at home or work, if I dont answer leave a message (or dont), maybe I'll get back to you.

    1. You may not want to be connected as a passenger but you certainly hope the crew is connected. They can get updated weather and traffic information that would prevent your ship from sailing into an iceberg.

  6. Thanks for the warning! Looking at Starlink, but I wonder why it costs more to roam than having residential service? comes from the same satellite system, not like you're hard wired to the house.

  7. I have use for it when roaming but at only 1 month per year with already satisfactory residential service, it's pretty expensive. I'll have to be old-fashioned with a map, compass, spare tires, and good luck out in the sticks.
