And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Bought my first pair at age 12 in 1967 for $6.50 with money I earned mowing yards. I mowed a yard for $3.00 and that included raking the whole thing afterward.
Bought Levi's way back when I was a kid. Even made in the USA, I had the same problem. No two pair fit the same, had to try before leaving the store, and it drove me nuts when after washing, the side seam would roll around to the front, even ironing wouldn't fix it. Stopped buying many years ago.
Search for a good brand that fits You - Lee for me, Wranglers a lot of guys - and stick with them. 3 years in sfo in the 80s - just when they turned commie - sad. I gave all mine away, and I used to love me my button fly 501s.

ReplyDeleteBack in the day I only wore Levi's. Then "noke" happened.

After they moved to Mexico, the quality went to sh*t (imagine that). you can buy 3 pair and they're all different fitting, lengths aren't the same.
ReplyDeleteDenim got noticeably thinner, I quit buying them then.
