  1. This British "Lord" conveniently got sick and missed the maiden voyage. It's a shame that he was not reduced in "rank" after the disaster.

    4. His company designed and built the monster ship. The design was revolutionary and guaranteed to never sink. It sank. I am no lawyer, but I'd say that it was his company's fault. It's kind of like the cigarette industry and cancer.
