And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
WOW - I actually have that knife. Got it for Christmas back in the early 70's. Used it to clean out more than a few deer and a couple of hogs. Really good knife.
Interesting article at wikipedia about this company. It has lineage including Cattaraugus, Case, Crossman, Coleman and Camillus.
I checked the Broadway Street address in Boulder. It is just across the street from the Univ. of Colorado main campus and now appears to be a parking lot.
Still have mine from the scouts in the 60's. I think I got mine from Sears who had the Boy Scout store back then. Also carried a German made leather handled dagger my dad brought back from the war. I thought I was a real warrior. Bubbarust

ReplyDeleteI had one that I got as a Cub Scout in the late 60s. I used it to clean many a trout.
ReplyDeleteThe grip reminds me of the ka-bar. The blade looks like a sort of quasi filet knife. I think it would be a good skinning knife
ReplyDeleteOh, a 4" blade. Good enough for skinning
DeleteBack in the day, almost all sheath knives looked similar to this.

Got one from the BoyScout catalogue. Remember it was difficult to get a good edge on, but it was great in the hand.
