And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Yet another reason politicians should never be allowed to spend any significant money.
Atlanta has one those, or had. Plus light rail: MARTA, and 3 separate bus lines: MARTA, Cobb, Gwinnett. They're fine if you want to end up in the middle of downtown Atlanta, but if want to travel from Gwinnett to North Fulton county, give yourself three hours to get there and bring a book.
And all those good times when the ATL streetcar kept hitting cars in the street because it couldn't turn. And the months of taking them out of service because of various issues. Well done ATL! Keep pouring millions into that and the "Beltway" while homelessness and crime (especially juvenile murders) keep skyrocketing.
As long as gov't employees are NOT held accountable for their poor behavior you can continue to expect more of the same. Votists consent to this sort of thing over and over and over, like automatrons - never learning.
St. Louis has a 2.2 mile streetcar near Forest Park. What a waste. The Transcontinental Railroad was built in less time than this vanity project. Low ridership, sparse operating hours. And no air conditioning; perfect for hot, humid St. Louis summers.
Goldberg is a jerk, but he still makes me laugh. I wish him good health and happiness.
