  3. ...and no other country has even attempted to design or build anything like them, even though these machines were designed and built well before CAD systems came online.

    1. Even if the USSR built an equivalent they would not have the foreign airbases and aerial tanker fleet that allowed the SR71 to go anywhere it wanted. The USSR chose to build photo reconnaissance satellites instead of aircraft.
