And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In downtown Philadelphia (where the natives call it "Center City") there is an ancient building called Reading Terminal Market. Maybe 100 years ago, it was the terminal for the railroad where farmers brought their goods to sell to the city dwellers. It is now a fun place to visit and have a meal or where you can still buy fresh fruit and veggies. The Amish have a booth there where young ladies produce pretzels by hand. It is so fun to watch their skill.
