And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Bit off topic here, but like many men, I have some colour blindness. For me the greens merge into each other a lot, I see green, but two tones together take on each other's look. Reds are much the same, and some reds in with green, disappear altogether. We have pohutukawa trees here, bright red flowers on branches with planty of green leaves .... bright red flowers, but I can't even see them until I am about a metre away from them, further away it is just a green leafed tree. Fire engines, fire trucks, whatever you call them ... who thought it was a good idea to paint them red ? That just makes them blend in, for me at least, luckily my eyes pick up movement, like a cat. Like when a cat moves, I see it, not that I am some super sighted person who sees things as a cat sees things ... ... cats see things with this thought 'if it moves I will kill it' I'm not like that, I am more like 'if I see a doughnut I will eat it'. Anyhow, blue ... the blue beret she is wearing (in these last days of her life) is like a beacon to me, it stands out like dogs b ... like a bright blue dog collar, on a priest. Fire engines should be painted that blue, I would see them through buildings. But maybe she should wear a more camouflaged beret ... maybe a cast in place concrete colourway ?
How the heck do I make my name stay fixed, half the time I post as Anonymous, which makes me seem like I am hiding something ... like a wanted man. Lol.
Look ! That person is in a camo outfit, carrying a gun, a beret hiding the hair, but you still know it is a woman. How the heck do transgender people fool anyone ?
Might need to revisit a few lessons from "How Not to Be Seen" class.
ReplyDeleteThey figure that they have more women and children than the enemy has bullets.
DeleteAlmost gets her head blown off and laughs! The late night comics should be so brave.
