Interesting use of a shipping container

  2. I've converted a few of these for jobsite offices. It can be done, sometimes pretty cheaply. But for a longer term arrangement, I would always add a foot or two of eave, to keep the moisture out more effectively. Overhangs are always your friend, rain or shine.

  5. A good used 40 ft shipping container goes for around $1500. How do you beat that?

  6. I like it. I also like a large multi container home. No, I would not live in one, but they are a cool use of the massive number of unused containers all over the world.

  7. How does it comapir to a used camper, of the same size, in cost? The camper
    already has insulation, cabinets, kitchen, and a bed. Possably a bathroom.
    Also if you have to move you just hookup, no having to rent a crain and a
    flatbed truck by the mile.
