  1. Just used that exact kit. Prepare for your arms being tired before you're done with the first headlight, but it did make a very visible difference. Longevity, no idea yet but there are enough extra applications in the box for at least a touch-up (if needed) before the year is out. For what it cost, it was a great stopgap solution instead of buying a pair of $500 headlight assembly.

    1. Would power tools make it easier? I'm thinking a buffer on a drill...

    2. To get a good finish, use paper towels and Windex to remove as much of the oxidation as possible before using the pads in the kit. Lasts about 6-8 months. Used it on our now 13 year old Kia until the lenses started crazing on the inside. Went to Rock Auto for after market replacements which cost less than $300 for both. If you keep a car over 100K you'll eventually have to replace exterior plastic. Especially if you live in Florida.

  2. "shade tree" remedy is applying a paste of Bon Ami & water. Scrub with an old toothbrush. Rinse & Reapeat as necessary. Toothpaste may be used instead of B-A. After cleaning, not sure of an appropriate but necessary (?) sealer.

  3. Works fantastic, included is an excellent crystal clear resin you apply after doing the prep work.

  5. I used Simichrome polish, worked very well. Wax to seal, lasts about a year. Easy, very easy (lazy).
