And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Back in highschool someone thought it would be funny to loosen the lugs on my old car, ruined the rims, hubs , breaks , spindles & a bunch of other stuff. First time I ever got suspended for fighting. Now ya' need locking lugs so the wheels don't get stolen.
The axles on the old Ford Rangers were held in place by a cheap washer. Really. Once that breaks, the whole damn axle just comes right on out. That's son #1. Son #2 put aftermarket wheels on his Mazda then lowered the car. Totally against what I told him. Not enough clearance and I get a phone call "Dad, my tire came off". The entire aluminum wheel had been cut in half from the inside.
So yeah, losing tires hi-jinks can occur, especially if teenage drivers decide to modify their car. Or just drive it like a teenager.
Looks like a Jeep...and some of them have the half axle held into the differential by C Clips...which can break... resulting in the entire axle and wheel leaving the axle tube. This looks more like lack of lug nuts. Odds are the vehicle just left a shop..
Probably 10 lugnuts sitting on the ground back in his driveway.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was, "How could this crazy thing happen?"
DeleteI'm not a statistician (?), but the odds of this happening, and being on video, must be close to winning a billion dollar lottery jackpot.
ReplyDeleteI saw that video about five or six years ago- before the plandemic anyway.
DeleteMy bet is some tire shop just had their insurance jump.
20:1 the driver is in the Navy, as a submarine officer.

ReplyDeleteIs that a strike or a spare?
ReplyDeleteJeep?
ReplyDeleteTorpedoes away! Torpedoes running straight and true SIR.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually kind of funny. The driver in the white car doesn't know whether to crap of get off the pot.
