A US B-17G drops food supplies over the Dutch countryside to help starving civilians. The German commander arranged a truce so that USAAF & RAF aeroplanes could drop life-saving rations - March 1945

  2. The Germans deliberately starved the Dutch. War crime.

  3. The Germans breached the dykes early in the of fall '44 to flood the fields so the Canadian Army could not use its tanks and trucks. Dutch farmers could not harvest their crops and were flooded out of their homes.

  4. Note the directions the guns are pointing, showing visible signs of aggression. Top turret straight back, bottom turret straight down. No other real option with the rear gun.

  5. Square J, 390th Bomb Group. Ball turret guns had to be pointed straight down to position the turret hatch inside for the gunner to enter/exit.
