  1. I've been using one for about ten years. Nothing like the sound of freedom chicklets dropping in the box.

    1. Roger that, Dillon has the no bull shit Lifetime warrenty. I stored mine poorly, when I got it out, all the metal that could rust, did. I sent it to them with powder measure and everything. When I got it back, it looked like new, (no charge) they upgraded it with the latest powder measure too. I had to look at the mounting holes to figure out it was my original unit.
Years ago, an idiot tried to rob a gun store, the owner whipped out a 12 gauge loaded with 00 buck. Ended up shooting a display reloader, Dillon warranted it, no charge.

    2. It will get the job done but you would be happier with a Dillon 550C. Right now factory target 9mm is cheaper than what you can press out. I am still using primers I purchased back in the 90's for $21 a 1000 brick. Find others that reload and group buy to get the best discount for supplies.

  3. I have the great-granddaddy to the press, purchased 40+ years ago. Still works, kinda poorly but does what I need it to. In days past, I could easily crank out a couple hundred rounds in an hour.

  4. Sold my Dillon set up years back, wanted to load some custom .44 mag for hunting, plus .45 acp defense loads, went cheap cause was not loading much more than a few 50 round boxes worth of each, plus practice rounds, figured what the heck, go with a very basic Lee kit, all the trimmings set up, does the job like a treat. Used brandy new brass, except for reloaded test rounds. Very satisfied with the assurance every step carefully handled and eyeballed. Thats what the whole intent. A very different thing compared to using the old Dillon press. Have zero complaints with either system. When you get something that is so high quality in all respects for your money is a very good kind of thing.

    1. ps, wanted a high powered load specifically for the .45acp, got some 45 super cases, a roto hammer forged barrel, and one of Sprinco's excellent recoil management system for the high pressure rounds. Dont have a crono, but do use half in thick impact plate made from scrap pieces when i worked at a coal wash plant, so over time become tuned to how hard regular .45acp rounds hit, yeah its anecdotal evidence, but its a relative too, so long story short, increased the powder load till started to get some increase in primer flattening, stop there and fired off 50 rounds at that final powder load, exactly consistent all rounds, and man o man is that a serious increase in perceived impact on the steel plates, not much less than my .44mag loads, the Sprinco guys worked with me when I called to order a kit, real nice guys there, the kit is everything they state in their specifications, so in effect i ended up with near 44 magnum self defense ammo, in a .45acp pistol. Yeah, i know Roland makes a fine and dandy kit, but hoo wee his ammo ain't cheap stuff, i can understand that, then nothing like gettin er done urself, and for same dollars i get specific ammo tailored exactly to my pistola, i know my ammo is as reliable as its possible to get, big factor, plus a lot more boolits for the same bucks. Win-Win right there, and its fun plus gratifying.
