And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
And is laughing it off. I say real deal. Anon 11:41 just so you know chap leather is thick and tough. It has to be takes quite some time to break in much less wear down.
Barrel racing. The chaps wouldn't show much wear at all. The hands say they are for real. Also, the one covered in mud has mud in her hair. If it was faked her hair would be clean.
I’d say fake just based off their smiles. Those teeth are way too hollywood. Most working cowgirls have had a run in with something that’s banged up a tooth or two at least once in their lives. The gal with the mud’s flak vest & chaps are covered like she did a faceplant, but those jeans & her shirt are pretty clean. I’ll give ‘em credit for the attempt tho…and for being finer than a new set o’ snow tires!
Happy healthy fit outdoor women. All they need is pairs of Colts in .454 Casul hanging off their hips and the pic is complete. Ladies you be very gentlemanly with, of corse, and they show you what a real woman is like.
Not qualified to guess whether they’re “real” cowgirls or not. I do like some of the thoughtful speculation offered here. As for me . . . Some ladies are nice to look at but they look like they put so much time and work into it. I can’t help but think “high maintenance”, “mostly ornamental”, or maybe even “trivial”. For a working partner and companion I’m more drawn to a practical “girl next door”, and I take nicely maintained short hair as a possible sign of that.
I'm not sure I care, they all look like they'd clean up real nice..... and then for some of that 'different kind of riding practice'. If I had to vote, I'd say real... The Princesses that ride for the rodeos around here.... look about the same, real nice.
My grandfather raised quarter horses that ran at Bay Meadows back in the 60s and I can tell you there were more than a couple of female jockeys that weren't too hard to look at even after an afternoon of racing...course I was only 12-14 and had no experience.
No wear and tear on their chaps.

Those kinda look like man hands though. Steve_in_Ottawa

ReplyDeleteNewbies or not all of them are muddy. Most fakes don't get muddy. Another thing that mud contains more than dirt.
ReplyDeleteMakes them all the more soft and sensuous and beautiful, when they jump under the covers with you at the end of the day.
