And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Call your orthopedic surgeon and estate planner first. No rear suspension? Near useless "springer front end. No front brake? Tiny, near useless drum brake on the rear? Hopefully, this relic is just an antique flat track scooter. Suicidal for street use.
Probably not for flat track. "Universal" type front tire (most used for off road). Knobby motocross type front tire [mostly used for dirt bikes (motocross, etc.)]. Is that engine really a Harley Davidson (something doesn't look right)?
Looks like my first bike, except my springer was chromed. Cobbled together from parts, 55 trike engine and transmission. Didn't know about the latter until I threw the jockey shift all the way back and discovered I had reverse.
Had a 62 750 flathead KRTT factory road racer I restored. They were very fast and dependable. Last time it was in competition was with a friend of mine riding it at Daytona in 1969. It was running laps in the 149-150 average. AMA made Harley run the flathead because the XR was too far ahead of the competition at the time. Bubbarust

Brakes are for sissies.
DeleteJust wait until Bambi appears airborne 50 feet from your front end. Thank God for two discs up front. Ask any BMW rider.

ReplyDeleteGee, how did our GI's ever make do with a Harley Davidson WLA?
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right. They weren't sissies.
