  3. It is a 68. You can tell by the side marker light. 67s didn't have them.

  4. In '67 the DOT decreed that all cars must have side marker lights for the '68 model year. Detroit scrambled to add them so this is a '68 Mustang.
    The Bullitt movie Mustang had square tubes welded to the rocker panels to allow cameras to be mounted. You can see the tubes here...

  10. A co-worker back in the mid 80's had a '68 fastback. He found a 427 side-oiler engine in a small sports car. He swapped that into his Mustang. He was looking to get $10k for it then. He didn't think the wreck was a Cobra, but he didn't bother to look too hard at it.
