Add some pepper, the juice from half a lemon, and some extra chicken if available. Heat to very hot, pour in a big mug, and sip. Awesome and quick. The price is right too.
And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I will say it again, the Campbells has a lot more product per can compared to the Prog, great for longer term storage though obviously homemade soup is the best.
ReplyDeleteHalf a square of broken up ramen, a chunk of cheese to stir in and bulk it up for sustenance Your recipe above sounds really good - roaster chicken would be perfect for this.
ReplyDeleteSorry, begs the question. Why not get out a stock pot, boil down some meat(beef is my favorite)chop up some veggies, and make your own! We buy a few big bags of frozen mixed veggies, always have taters and onions around along with canned tomatoes. Granted, might not want to eat it every day for a week, but just freeze the rest. Having canned soup around is a great idea. We keep a couple cases on hand at all times, but home-made.....really hard to beat!
ReplyDeleteBecause when SHTF, where's your electricity coming from for more than a short term?
DeleteEspecially like in situations that you have now where motherfuckers are slashing tires of trucks bringing relief items to the hurricane ravaged areas. No power, no comms, no water.
To MoFo. Good point. Depends just how prepared you are. Plenty of ways around electricity from the grid plus, homemade soup can also be canned with a really good shelf life. Honestly, it how much thought, ingenuity, and work you want to put into it. Guaranteed, including myself, we can all do a better job than we think we can. And the scary thing is, we may very well be forced into it. And I really, really hope I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnd worst case scenario you can eat it cold, no added water, right out of the can.
ReplyDelete$34 commies always trying to rip off the peasants.
