Cool Tool

  1. You need another one to find out if it's accurate.
$162 is a lot of coin for a battery powered device that may not be accurate.

Better to just get an $9 manual one that can be checked with a $2 back up one.

And use the remaining $151 to buy 'spensive meats and BBQ sauces.

  2. I guess the question is, "What are you trying to do with it?" Replicate an existing angle? There are easier and cheaper ways. Create a perfect 30, 45, 60 or 90? I actually stayed awake in Geometry class. Actually measure an odd angle? Well, maybe, but I wouldn't use it enough to pay for it.

I have and like a laser distance measure. It's good enough for my purposes, like how much paint or fertilizer do I need, and I sure don't want to mess around with a hundred foot tape along my fence, or haul out a ladder... This thing? Hard pass.
