And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe that rig has been lifted, just fitted with oversized tires. I always liked that look. I did the same thing to my little Ford Ranger and it really gave it a neat, beefy look. When I see a rig like mine with the original tires on it they look really funny to me now.
There was a guy in Rockford that had one with a hardtop for sale about ten years ago. I thought about it long and hard, but with kids in college, it wasn't gonna fly. Just classic machines, and they'll still run after the Russians/Chinese tag us with a high altitude EMP.
Those big, fat tires, without a lift (read: CLEARANCE) will screw your day if you ever do any serious 4wd off roading. You'll get one pushed into the body, rip out all kinds of fun stuff....
I've never had a bit of problem with my oversized tires. I was very careful to make sure they had adequate clearance to be able to steer correctly without interference and that the rear tires had plenty of room to be able to run chains without a problem. (My 2003 Ranger is 2WD. I'd be glad to recommend tire size if others would like to follow my lead.)
The key is to be careful, don't put tires on your rig that will be too large to allow for proper fender and frame clearance and have fun in doing it right. It can be done, but it requires a little intelligence in doing it.
That looks like fun.
