And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I watch that movie almost once a month. I relate to the beginning. When it picks up speed, man, it doesn't stop. And that wife of his has been a dream boat of mine since I first saw her in Soldier. She still rocks. "Nobody"
No assortment of ones and zeroes will ever come close to the real sound of analog recordings. Digital is for crunching numbers like a calculator - it is not and will never be an accurate medium. It "could" be but the industry does believes that we will accept ANYTHING they sell. I've been playing vinyl for 60 years and occasionally I will hear music on Youtube and it's just awful.
It's the loudness wars; the recording industry compresses the hell out of music on CD's, results in distortion and loss of dynamic range. MP3's are even worse. Properly mastered music on lossless files like FLAC sounds quite good.
Especially when it's on vinyl.

Delete"The Mechanic"?
ReplyDelete"Nobody". Epic scene, where Bob Oedenkirk decides it's time to activate the "trash the evidence/burn the whole house" protocol. What A Wonderful World
