And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Space Shuttle main engines ignite.
Funny how, with all the high tech, they set them off by basically throwing a match at them.
The engines actually have internal igniters, the sparks (from an abrasive wheel and steel pin) and flame are to make sure they light up. Any collection of unburnt fuel could blow the rocket straight off the pad!
Do you think that we will every put humans into orbit again without the Russian's help? (thanks Barack)
