The Saunders-Roe SR./A.1 was a jet-powered prototype flying boat fighter conceived for the Pacific theatre in 1943. The plane was tested by the RAF shortly after World War II ended and while its performance was good, the day of the flying boat fighter had passed. The two SR./A.1 prototypes were however fitted with the first two production Martin-Baker ejection seats ever built.

ReplyDeleteAnd a spare to repair the first one fast.
DeleteThat's why I sad "At least one". Actually two with a third one to cannibalize. The second one flies in with parts from the third to save the first...bud damn, it would be every bit as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
DeleteUm maybe I'm missing something, but where's the intake?
