Motorist jumps over opening drawbridge.

Tom Cruise emerges from car triumphant.

No, really, what a hazard this guy is if he can't even see this happening ahead of him.  Here in California, when a drawbridge goes up little barriers usually emerge from the roadway to physically prevent such shenanigans.

  1. I wonder if the driver had to change his underwear afterward?

  2. If he'd had a Confederate Flag painted on top of the car (Dukes of Hazard), I suspect that he would have just kept on going.

    1. He certainly should have kept on going, with his hand thrust out the window displaying the rigid digit to the security camera. Stopping after a stunt like that is bad form

  3. I recall pointing out 25 years ago that telephones in cars, combined with the blithe ignoring of stoplights, was the signal of the end of the social contract. Simply put, if you can't depend on other drivers to observe minimal traffic rules (like "PAY ATTENTION") your life is no longer safe in public.

And here we are now - and nobody can see that telephones for drivers is sheer madness, I don't care how good a driver you think you are.
