Rand Paul Vows to Stop NSA Spying 'on Day 1' of Presidency

And why isn't that a great idea?  Paul has some unconventional ideas in the area of foreign policy which might well disqualify him for president, but in the area of cutting the size of the federal government down, he is pure as the driven snow.

It's going to be an interesting campaign on the Republican's side, but boring and conventional on the Democrat side.

Some reasons this the idea of cutting down the size of government is important to Americans:

The federal government tracked billions of phone calls for decades.

21 Days: The US Treasury improbably says debt has been frozen at $18,112,975,000,000. It's hard to trust them when the shamelessly lie to your face.

Court mulls revealing secret government plan to cut cell phone service.  It's certainly suspicious when the government even entertains these ideas, let alone when they want to keep them secret from the very folks who they are supposed to be serving.

  1. Is anyone running against Hillary for the Democratic nomination - or it is going to be a coronation convention?

    1. A coronation. I'd personally like to see her literally crowned, since it seems the best the country can do is elect either a Clinton or a Bush, our competing royal families.

    2. A Clintonian monarchy - with Chelsea-the-first waiting until the Queen mother dies. Chelsea could hurry the process by poisoning the old harridan's tea. (harridan defined: HARRIDAN. A hagged old woman; a miserable, scraggy, worn-out harlot: derived from the French word HARIDELLE, a worn-out jade of a horse or mare.)

  2. Americans are tired of career politicians swamped in scandal.
Few politicians honor the oath they swore to.

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are two exceptions.

    1. I certainly am tired of it. Hopefully one of the other, or even Scott Walker, can fight through the Republican establishment and be nominated.
