A seed that plants itself



There's plenty of these around here.  The pretty little flower they turn into is called Filaree. They'll drill into your sock just as effectively.

Powered by humidity, the seed falls to the ground and turns clockwise when wet (or counter-clockwise when dry) to effectively drill itself straight into the ground like a screw

  1. Very much so. This little flower grows in sheets a few inches above ground . It's really a nice wildflower, unless those twisty seeds get in your shoes!
