Don Pedro Reservoir now releasing large amounts of water from their auxiliary spillway - first time since the flood of 1997

This report is from the town of Ceres - formerly Wirecutter country - where the local sheriff is advising folk living in areas next to the river to leave.

But, on the bright side, I stepped outside a few minutes ago to let one of the cats in, and looking up saw stars shining as they only do right after a storm blows through.  Maybe the worst has passed.
