And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
James. no personal experience but in watching a program out of the UK called 'Escape to the Country' I see many houses with thatched roofs. I would guess that 25+ years is not out of the question. The killer is the requirements for insurance. Multiple chimney inspections each year, regular flue replacements, etc. Gets expensive. Steve_in_Ottawa
Has any here either made/lived with a thatch roof and if done correctly what is it's life span?
