  3. The Cessna 337 (aka the Mixmaster) has two engines in tandem. If one engine fails in a normal twin the handling changes drastically. With center line thrust, as Cessna called it, the handling remains normal on one engine.

    1. Often pilots would run on one engine for economy.
      The beat between the two props was annoying. The pilot upfront may not notice, but backseaters would. I do not remember if the 337 had auto synchros.
