And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As a welding project I had to cut a 10" piece of worn railroad rail diagonally, weld in a filler piece of metal and then cut it down to a 2" square and 2.5" at the other to make splitting wedges. That was over 50 years ago when my uncle taught me to weld. He was a welding instructor for the Railroad.

I'm old now so it will prolly outlive me.
Not sure what I would use it for, maybe a door stop in the shop, cause I ain't splitting any wood.
