And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
At the recent Cocoa Beach air show, one of these approached from the mainland while most of the crown on the beach was looking out to sea, after some Navy rescue demonstration (or something) - it approached without the MC announcing its imminent arrival, at absolute minimum allowed altitude and speed just below sonic on full burner. I just happened to hear it coming a fraction of a second before it screamed right overhead, looked back just in time to see it coming. Knocked the wife out of her chair (I had to stifle my laughter) . . . . .. made me think that if a couple of F-16s had done this over Benghazi when called to do so, the outcome might have been a lot different.
