    1. 1650 cubic inches or 27 liters. Not as robust as the Allison V1710 but had far better supercharging so better above 12,000 feet. If you're paying the bills nowadays the Allison wins easily.

  2. wonderful sound. Once upon a time, used a 10-second startup sound clip as startup sound on my PC. Shutdown sound was a P-51 flyby.

  3. The RCAF's Lancaster flew over my house once. FOUR Merlins in perfect unison. Most joy I've had with my clothes on.

  4. Whats it use for fuel per hour, kinda gotta figure that in i guess. AvGas ain't exactly cheap. Last year it was $5 per gal at the local strip, i use it for my race bike, adding 5% acetone, tiny splash of xylene, maybe a teaspoon, takes it from 101 to around 116 octane, works excellent, better for a higher revving engine than running straight avgas.
