  2. mindful of Peruvian Shrimp Chowder - Chupe De Camarones. An easy recipe that's quick to prepare and economical. In cooler weather, "Chupe" is frequently enjoyed at our table. Breaking with traditional preparation, large kernel Peruvian corn, "choclo" is removed from the cob. Same with removing shells from shrimp. Who needs to finger-dip corn cobs & wrestle shrimp shells!? Save that experience for the turistas! Just simmer shells in a bit of water to create an "every bit helps" broth that's added to the soup. Serve with a good baguette or oster crackers.

  3. Down here on The Gulf of America we're having crawfish & beers. The rain is gone & the sun is out. Gotta pick some music & light the boiling pot.
