  1. I'd love the fruit trees in the garden but not the heat, humidity and the insects.

    1. Dad planted naval and valenica orange trees. The only nuisance insect was a species of black ants. But diatomaceous earth sprinkled around the trunk solved that.
      The smell of orange blossoms was wonderful. Every tree produced gallons of juice.

  3. The Valencia’s like a dry climate.
    I grew up in SoCal in the 50’s-60’s and lived adjacent to 100’s of acres of Valencia orange groves. The odor of orange blossoms on a still night is awesome.
