And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

In 1953, Burt "Buddy" Reynolds was a standout All-State running back for the Palm Beach High School Wildcats. His stellar high school performance earned him a football scholarship to Florida State University
When you watch the old episodes of Gunsmoke it's obvious he was quite an athlete. I'm certain Quint Asper did most if not all of his own stunt work.
My favorite episode is 'The Renegades', season 8 episode 18. Burt is at his best, and Audrey Dalton makes for a mighty fine looking squaw. Must see TV.

DeleteI think the best movie that I have seen was Burt Reynold and Jacky Gleason in was Smokey and the Bandit. It just doesn't get any better then that!
