And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They would still wear their hair like that in the 1960s sometimes for dressy occasions. Went to school with them - very nice people. Do NOT try to out las one of their cross-country runners - they would run insane distances for fun or to get between mesa's (neighborhoods sort of) and town, farms, etc. Tsingine were a well known family or runners during my day. Good times east of Flagstaff.

ReplyDeleteHeard tell the Hopi's were a powerful homely people. These two don't fit that description. Probably really decent cooks though. Great silversmiths.
