And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A friends mother, who was in her 80s, was "late" for church and doing 80 down a residential street. Lost control and went into a culvert, became airborne and ended up in a tree at about that height. Literally came out of it without a scratch. And yes, that was her last drive.
Somebody I read had the saying, "if you're gonna eff things up, make it so epic that they spend more time talking about 'how did they do that?' than what an a-hole you are." The contractors are going to spend more time about that amazing job they did once than anything.
So, how did the driver get out? Driver door is in the wall. Passenger door is blocked by the porch roof. No sunroof. Maybe it's one of them autonomous vehicles and blew a circuit....
In Michigan not far from me, that would have been possible result during last month's tornado breakout. We had unusually strong and long run tornado right along the SW MI/Indiana border zone. If that is in the south, then you may have an issue or two with the adjusters.
I am in the local aviation museum - alot - and some guy was complaining about the two expensive muscle cars "that the blankity blank government spent money on" (they were USAF recruiting props and gifts). Instead of arguing with him, I told him that with enough speed and a "special" angle - everything is an airplane. He actually went from whining to laughing in a hot second.
If you ever meet that guy again, let him know they use those muscle cars to help the U2 take-off and land. When landing, those cars follow behind, help gauge his distance to the tarmac. With those big wings generating so much lift, the last meter or so of descend is more a controlled crash. Just watched an interesting video on the U2 that details this.

ReplyDeleteWell, if you're going to sell the house, advertise it to Garp. What are the odds a second car will ever land on the roof?
ReplyDelete"This house was crossing the road and I was unable to get around it".
ReplyDeleteI think a picture will do, just fine.

I ask you: Do you think that speed was involved?
ReplyDeleteSo, how did the driver get out?
