  3. We had a '69 Imperial, which we purchased in '83. It was a wonderful car to take our three kids on road trips and still have plenty of room. Of course, with a 440 engine, it didn't get very good gas milage, but it was comfortable. One trouble was that it didn't seem like you were going fast until you got to 90. I remember coming home from Utah, going across the salt flats. Somebody said that I had better slow down; there were flashing lights up ahead. I did slow down, and he said "Boy, 55 sure seems slow." I was till going 70.

  4. I had a 73 440 2 door Chrysler similar to this. Seating was actually tight. It would do 120 mph and land small airplanes on the hood. It was longer than my mom’s 74 Galaxy 500 wagon with the big bumpers. The trunk would hold 3 or 4 bodies.
