  5. My guess is George Caleb Bingham, known as "the Missouri artist." He painted many scenes of life on and along the Missouri River in the 1800s. Well known in the Show-Me State.

  6. Wrong guess.
    It's named "Mississippi River Flatboatmen Navigating Past Tower Rock" by a modern artist named Gary Lucy. Gary was from the Bootheel area and graduated from SEMO in 1971.
    He later had a gallery in Washington, Missouri.
    Born in 1949 and passed in 2025.
    He's best known for a series of paintings about the Lewis and Clark expedition and painting in Bingham's style
