And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Same too. I have a lot of hammers but my first blue handled Estwing is my very favorite. It's the one that almost always went into my tool belt at the beginning of the day. The original sticky blue handle is worn down to smooth as glass. I lost it once for about 4 months and I thought it was gone forever. I was heartbroken. I mean seriously, I think I would rather have lost my girlfriend at the time. When it magically reappeared it was cause for celebration. I bought the beers that night. But I gotta admit when the Paslode impulse gun made the scene it was a revelation. I have a couple of those too.
Hammer would certainly last your lifetime, but all steel isn't forgiving to your arm banging nails all day like I did as a young man.
ReplyDeleteYou got that right Skip. I use an airnailer nowadays. The elbow just can't take the framing hammer anymore.
ReplyDeletethe best hammer ever made.
ReplyDeleteIconic for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have several blue handled Estwings.
But I use my Paslode Impulse guns any chance I get.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I forgot about that part.
You gotta use it a lot to wear that "factory finish" off.
