  1. Great if you're willing to buy into their business model of sticking to coffees available in their pods. And admittedly the variety of flavor on the pods is a big one. I enjoyed quite a few of them when we had a Nespresso. If the coffee you like isn't among the flavor offered in their pods, you're better off investing in machines that do the grinding & brewing for you. Using your own coffee in Nespresso machines, getting the DIY pods, grinding to the fine-ness you need, getting the DIY-pod sealed right; not worth it.

  2. I use my own coffee with the replacement lids in this exact machine. Totally worth it.
Nicest thing about this machine is that it has a very small footprint, but can do 18oz coffees. All I need for my day with just one quick brew cycle.

  3. My wife loves it but the pods are spendy compared to Keurig. The technology is kind of cool. If you look at the rim of the pod, there's a essentially a bar code on it to tell the machine how to brew (pods come in three sizes). The pod spins in the machine to do the frothing and then spits it out to the clear holder on the back of the machine. The smell is wonderful.
